The Loxwood Joust has been held on Loxwood Meadow, between Guildford and Horsham, every summer since 2012. It is produced by Legend Presents Ltd as an immersive ‘kingdom’ rather than a re-enactment: visitors move between themed areas with a royal court, a living-history village, a market, taverns and several stages. The 2026 festival ran over three weekends — 1–2, 8–9 and 15–16 August — from 10am to 6pm each day, and both the first two Saturdays sold out in advance.
The daily jousting tournament is the main event, with mounted knights competing in full armour. Around it are falconry displays, foot combat and archery, a blacksmith’s forge, medieval cooking, an executioner’s ‘torture’ show, storytelling, live music and costumed characters who stay in role all day. Children can take part in knight schools and craft workshops, and dogs on leads are welcome.
Day tickets for 2026 cost £27 for adults (15+), £8 for children aged 4–14 and nothing for under-4s; parking must be booked with the ticket because spaces are limited. Weekend camping passes (Friday to Monday) include festival entry, evening entertainment and parking. Tickets for 2027 had not gone on sale as of August 2026. Loxwood Meadow is signposted from the B2133; the nearest railway stations are Billingshurst and Horsham, each a taxi ride away.
