1. Who you are dealing with

Medieval Booker (medievalbooker.com) is run by Nemanja Kovacevic. "We" and "us" below mean exactly that. Write to hello@medievalbooker.com about anything on this page.

2. The site is free

Every festival page, city guide, place and article is free to read, without an account, and stays that way. Nothing on the public site is reserved for paying members.

3. Festival information: check before you travel

We are an independent guide. We do not organise any festival, sell tickets or take bookings. We check dates against the organiser's own publications and mark a date "expected" until the organiser confirms it, but organisers move, shorten and cancel events, sometimes late. Always confirm dates, opening hours and tickets on the official site before you book travel. We are not responsible for travel, accommodation or ticket costs arising from a changed or cancelled event, or from an error on our pages, except where the law says we must be.

4. The Knight membership

Knight is an optional paid membership at $9.99 / month. What a Knight pays for arrives by email:

• a weekly newsletter about medieval festivals in Europe;
• places worth visiting in European cities, chosen by us;
• a private live calendar link, so confirmed and moved dates reach your own calendar;
• guides and advice for individual festivals;
• a calendar for each month and for the year.

The newsletter is written by people. We aim for one issue a week; if a week is missed we say so in the next one. Which festivals and cities a given issue covers is an editorial decision.

5. Your account

A membership belongs to an account, and an account to one person. Give an email address you actually read, because that is where everything is sent. Keep your password to yourself; tell us if you think somebody else has it. The calendar link is personal too: you can replace it from your account page if it gets out.

6. Payment, renewal and price

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries relating to payment and handles returns. Paddle's checkout shows the price in your currency, including any tax due where you live, before you pay; its own buyer terms apply to the purchase.

The membership renews automatically every month at the price you joined at until you cancel. If we ever change the price for existing members, we will email you at least 30 days before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it does.

7. Cancelling

Cancel whenever you like from your account page; it takes two clicks and no conversation. You remain a Knight until the end of the period you have paid for, and you are not charged again. Refunds are covered by the refund policy.

8. What you may do with what we send

Member emails, guides and calendars are for your own use. Forward an issue to a friend who might like it; do not republish them, resell them or feed them into a product of your own. Everything on the public site is ours or is used under the licence shown next to it (photo credits are on each page).

9. When we may end a membership

We may close an account that is used to abuse the site, to resell member material, or to defraud us or Paddle. If we close a paid membership for any reason other than your misuse, we refund the unused part of the current period.

10. Our responsibility to you

We provide the site and the membership with reasonable care. We are not liable for losses we could not reasonably have foreseen, or for indirect losses such as travel costs (see section 3). Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the consumer law of the country you live in, and nothing limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Law

These terms are governed by the law of Serbia. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim there.

12. Changes to these terms

When these terms change, the date below changes with them, and members are emailed about anything that affects what they pay or receive.
