Medieval Booker is free to use: every festival page, country and month listing, and article on medievalbooker.com is open to everyone, with no account and no paywall.

Medieval Booker Knight is an optional paid membership that costs $9.99 per month (US dollars, or the local equivalent), billed through Paddle, and you can cancel at any time.

Your private calendar link, within minutes. It is on your account page, with buttons for Google, Apple and Outlook, next to everything written so far. The next letter arrives within the week.

For exactly that. We keep checking every date against its organiser. When one is confirmed or moved, your calendar changes by itself, usually within a day, and the next letter tells you. An expected date is always labelled expected: we never dress a guess as a fact.

Then join for the month or two you're planning it, take the calendar and the advice, and cancel when you're home. One month is $9.99. That's a perfectly good way to use it.

Maybe not yet. The guides are written one at a time, and the list grows every month. Reply to any letter if yours is missing: requests decide what gets written next. If you joined for one guide and it isn't there within your first 14 days, ask for your money back.

Cancel from your account page in two clicks: no call, no survey. You stay a Knight until the end of the period you paid for. If the first payment wasn't worth it, ask within 14 days and we refund it in full.

One person, by hand. And no: nobody can pay to be listed or mentioned, and the letter carries no ads or sponsors. Our city lists include the places we rejected, and why.

So the membership belongs to you: its status, the renewal date, your calendar link and the cancel button. Reading the site never needs one. Payment runs through Paddle, the seller of record, which shows the final price in your currency before you pay. We never see your card.
